The Board of Directors Would Like to Welcome You to Folkstone!
We are so happy that you have chosen to join our fun and friendly neighborhood! Regardless of whether you have joined us locally or from further away, we hope that you are able to find a niche for yourself within our community.
Folkstone Flash:
The Folkstone Flash is emailed out to residents periodically with important updates, reminders, and community news. Sign up by entering your email in the form at the bottom of the page.
Facebook group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/105098126330369/
This Facebook group is run by the community and not the HOA directly. However, if you are having issues joining, please reach out to directors@folkstonehoa.com and we can try to help.
This is a closed group social page specifically for members of our community. To join, login to your Facebook account, then go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/105098126330369/ and look in the upper right hand corner for a link that says “Join group.” Once your request to join the group has been approved you will be able to post on the group page and see posts others make. Please join in our conversations!
The Facebook group is a great place to get information about social groups, babysitting services, and other information about neighbor-lead initiatives taking place in Folkstone!
Annual Assessments:
Look for a mailing from our management company, GHA, to arrive in your mailbox during the early part of May. Please return your assessment by May 31 in order to avoid late fees!

Road maintenance:
VDOT is responsible for the maintenance of our neighborhood’s roads and cul-de-sacs. Individual homeowners are responsible for pipestem/driveway maintenance. If you see trees down, snow blocking the roadways, etc. please contact VDOT Customer Service Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623). Visit their website for more information.
Reporting County Violations:
It is helpful to the neighborhood to report county violations directly to Fairfax County in addition to contacting the board for support.
For abandoned cars or cars with expired registration: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/report-inoperable-vehicle
For illegally parked cars or vehicles: (703)-691-2131
For code and other violations: (703)-324-1300
For illegal dumping: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/code/illegal-dumping
Cell phone coverage:
As a general rule, cell coverage is tough inside the houses in this area. Some neighbors have had good luck installing a MicroCell tower in their home network to boost coverage inside their homes. Check with your service provider to see if this is an option for you.
